When Do We Plow the Facility?

We plow once at the end of a storm when total snowfall reaches 6 inches or more.

This approach allows us to:

  • Maintain safe and usable access across the property
  • Avoid unnecessary plowing during light snowfall
  • Keep operating costs—and your monthly rate—as low as possible

Why Don’t You Plow Every Couple of Inches?

Frequent plowing during light or ongoing snowfall adds significant cost without providing meaningful benefit to most customers.

Instead of passing those costs on to you, we choose to:

  • Minimize unnecessary plow trips
  • Focus spending where it matters most
  • Protect our core promise of more space for less money

How Close Do You Plow to My Unit or Parking Space?

Our facilities use packed gravel surfaces. To protect the lot while still clearing access effectively:

  • Our plow blade is set slightly above the surface
  • We plow to within approximately 1 foot of your unit or parking space

For most customers, clearing that final section takes under 60 seconds with a shovel.
